I've had better ideas!

The first attempt at a training regimen is in the books. Here was the idea. Run some distance, maybe a 5k, in the morning, run another in the evening and then a third the next morning. That would be three runs in roughly 24 hours totaling about 10 miles. A perfect test for the American Odyssey. The Odyssey will be a bit further, maybe 13 to 14 miles during the 24 hours but this would be a good test.

Not a problem. I finished with flying colors. I did 3.1 miles, then 4.0 miles and then 3.3 miles. So 10.4 miles in 24 hours in three separate runs separated by about 11 hours each. Perfect Test! The best news is that my weight should continue to fall since I am too sore to get out of bed and eat. My legs are in complete rebellion. My lower back has started calling me names. My feet and calves won't even talk to me at all. And I am not sure what it means, but I my right knee just had a free consultation with a family law attorney specializing in divorce.

So there you go. Nice test, but it appears that neither this test nor the Odyssey itself can claim to be one of my better ideas.

It was brutal, I'm not going to lie! But way to go on the last run - Keith did it outside on the ice-covered sidewalks, while I wimped out and did it on a treadmill!
